bad connector causing charging problems? IRC client with more server choices??

Hey all,

Been a while since I have been on but been very busy. I have noticed something that is quickly becoming a nuisance. I was seeing that my car charger was not charging the phone properly (it would be plugged in but no charge light active) and was going to take the charger in to be looked at today, but when I got up this morning, my phone (which had been on the AC wall charger all night) was showing 20% battery life left.

I looked and sure enough, the light was blinking green, not solid green. I lightly pushed on the cable, thinking that I just did not push it in far enough but it was seated properly. I moved it around and all of a sudden it started charging. Though, when I set it down, it stopped charging. Fooling with it more reveals that for no reason other than one of the connectors could be dirty on the port itself. I am curious if anyone else has had this issue. had the phone since the middle of december and it has a metal case and has been taken care of like it is a child (sometimes it is as annoying as one too).

If anyone has had this problem, is there any way of cleaning the connector? I'm an I.T. guy so I'm no stranger to Macgyvering a Q-tip to fit if I have to, but just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

Now, on to my question about software. I am looking for an IRC client that allows me to input what server I want to connect to. I tried one, but it only came with a few select ones and would not allot you to change any of those or add a new one. Please keep in mind, would prefer for this to be a shareware/freeware program, as it would only be used sporatically and for short amounts of time.

Thanks all
