Usually, you don't have to do anything. Your PPC typically does that by itself using activesync.

Do you have a high speed internet connection, that is connected? If so, reinstall Active sync on the pc.

The PPC will try and use your PCs internet connection as long as it is connected to activesync.. If you are running a software firewall product or your PC connects through a proxy you may not get a connection on the PPC without making some changes.

This has actually been covered elsewhere...but here is the answer I found when I had the same question.

In active-sync, go to the File | Connection Settings menu option. In that dialog, select:

This computer is connected to: The Internet

The default is Automatic, which did not work for me. When I changed it to the internet, it worked. You may have to disconnect the device, and reconnect it to the PC after you change this, not sure.

This is how I connect to the internet throught the ppc when I have AS connected via usb or BT. You use the other path to tether your PC to the internet.

i switched the settings from automatic to the internet and now it dials 777 when i try and go on the internet. it didn't do that before so alls i want to do is go on the internet, on my ppc when it is conected to my computer via usb activesync. thanks for the help thus far

my 6700 can't connect to internet via activesync.
if i use PIE while my pda on the cradle, it will dial #777 and can't use the default internet connection on my laptop.

pls help me.
