cannot setup tethering over Bluetooth after Sprint ROM upgrade

I have DELL Latitude 610 w/BLUETOOTH built-in and having hard-time pairing up 6700.

1) Could someone pls provide instructions on pairing up 6700 w/ Laptop..

Do you first start process on Laptop or PPC6700?

When Laptop BT find the PPC6700, it installs some modem on com70, then asks for DIALUP number and all.. once i provide and try to connect it.. it popsup "DIALUP CONNECTION" screen - > then i hit on "CONNECT" w/ username/pass as 'blank' -> Then a new window popsup saying:

OPERATED ASSISTED or MANUAL DIAL

Pickup the handset and dial (or ask the operator to dial). Press OK immediately after dialing, then replace the handset.

Phone number: #777

It used to work fine on my PPC6700 w/ OLD ROM, now when i upgraded to new ROM it is giving me all sorts of ISSUES!! ((

HELP PLEASE!!!

You should be able to specifiy the number on your laptop as #777 and when you hit dial it iwll connect on that Com channel to your phone. Make sure you have bluetooth enabled on your phone, sometimes it will disconnect and you can always try to soft reset your phone because sometimes I'll get the modem is busy message and such after disconnecting and trying to reconnect.

You shouldn't have to dial anyting on the phone the laptop should do it for you.

If you want to avoid all this you can get Pda net which will allow you to do this via USB instead of BT and you'll charge your phone as you go as well.

I used PDANet with my old Treo 650, and now I use it with the 6700. I've read MANY threads on how to get DUN working on my laptop, but none of them worked. I kept getting errors. PDANet took care of everything. It's not free though, but it's worth it. Great program.
