ActiveSync random popup, device locks

Sorry if this was posted before, a search came up empty.

My PPC6700, which I just hard-reset today seems to freeze at random, and at the same time, activesync pops up on the screen.

Does anyone have any suggestions on why?

thanks!

Search for activesync hack on this forum. You can keep activesync from randomly starting up, which may help with your problem.

Same Here - Bump

I have tried the hack and even with the hack in place it still pops up. Only use a BT headset and no other connections in BT settings that would trigger. (only other is the BT Dun with my laptop)

I also noticed that when I do a soft reset it loads up autmoatically. Checked in memmaid and it is not in the startup programs.

I am using true toolbar which displays all active programs in the sys tray. I shut AS down and about 2 miutes later it pops back up.

Do you have network time sync turned off? That will make AS pop up.

Is it possible?

I have apps installed in the extended rom folder. Since this is considered a storage card in the memory section, could this be the cuase.

Any way for the device not to see this as a storage card?

Hard Reset cured all

Activesync kept popping up, slow wakeup, DSOD's, etc.

Its been 4 hours none of the above have occurred.

Will report in the morning.
