Remove the screen protector and make sure the screen still works. If it does, then put the screen protector back on there and be careful to make sure you don't have any part of the screen protector stuck under the plastic edge around the screen. This will sometimes happen, and makes the screen think you are pressing on it, making it appear to not work.
