Minor install behaviour change observed

I've noticed that cab installs now only provide "Space Needed" and eliminate the "Space Available". Others seeing this?

Yes, I noticed the same thing on the missing "Space Available". That's an unfortunate change, it was a useful little info bit.

Another annoyance: docked auto-lock

This could be pilot error...

Another annoyance I'm experiencing since the update is with password lock. I have my device set to lock after 5 minutes of non-use. When docked and connected via Pocket Controller, this auto-lock used to be conveniently disabled but now it is not. Any ideas?

Another issue that I came acrosssince the update is when you play video in full screen in media player it plays upside down. If you open the keyboard, it then flips to the correct view. Any ideas how I could fix that?

Just tried it and I can confirm this. This will be annoying.

I just knew if I did my 1st hard reset the GD file would be released!!!

I did a hard reset 2 days ago - interupted the install - and DIDN'T LOAD ANY of the extra files from verizon - I did install mwrawlings - sp? phone tools (i730 forum - wm5.0 upgrade thread) and then edited the registry for the Internet cache from /SafeStore/ to /Extended_Rom/ - Man-- Man finaly a glitch free speedy device!!!

Anyway - now with the update I am concerned that I may actually want some of the verizon "fixes" - but none of the crippling, I of course want my phone to work w/ Verjeckyl&Hyzon, I use wifi - no data - no mms - over 500 contacts - 10 years of calendar data - and I love vzWireless synch (I know which file that one is) - use it like push but over wifi anywhere not just on your own network works flawlessly.

Has anybody tried the uprade w/out the "extras" or truly know which extras are desirable?

Please, let's keep the replies on topic to the upgrade and their files.

The ActiveSync hack still works fine for me post-upgrade.

Also, a major plus is PIE cookies are working for the first time, such as my yahoo.
Are you running anything off your storage card that would normally produce DSODs (e.g. Today plugins, PIE cache, etc.)?

I had a DSOD this AM and I updated last night. I had previously rarely had any. Will wait and see what happens.

I did notice one toehr stange thing. In Pocket Outlook, I sort messages to have most recent on top. if I have the top message selected and then hit "up" it WRAPS to the oldest message. This didn't happen before the update

MMS Missing

I did the update and MMS is missing. I don't have the inbox in Messaging but if I click and hold on an image the option to send via mms is there, but when you tap on it nothing happens. Anyone else run into this?

voice mail

has anyone got their voice mail password to program in...

I've tried "," and "p" and "w" but none of them work.

TIA... Also for the ones that have been able to get BT DUN, you did have to run the verizon files right??

I found the epst file in the windows folder but nothing happens when you try to run it.

I upgraded my XV6700 yesterday with the new ROM and now I can't get my phone to sync with my exchange server either while it is cradled or wirelessly. I get Support Code: 85002009. It worked fine with the old ROM installed. Any advice?

I updated my ROM last night and it bricked my phone, fortunately the other threads were helpful and I got it working again and updated it.

I did get something weird afterwards -- I was in phone and a box opened that had 3 buttons, hybrid, EVDO and 1XRTT. I didn't click on anything but when I tried exiting it said saving changes and soft- reset itself. I think it's in hybrid mode (whatever that means).

Anyone know what that was and how to re-access it?
