Blueant X5 BT headphones only playing mono sound, audio cuts in and out
Hi - just purchased the Blueant X5 headset - and am having issues - if anyone has this item and got it to work, I'd appreciate the help. Here are the problems -
I'm having two problems. First, when using the bluetooth streamer on an audio source (mp3 player, stereo etc) it seems to be playing in mono through both headphones. When I change modes on the x5 - it seems to play better, but only through 1 side. When I switch modes, it plays through both sides, but really tinny and in mono. Also, paired with my ppc6700 (and not streamer) , I hear music for a couple of seconds then it cuts out and comes back in periodically. Any ideas? Thanks
I recently bought a pair and they're wicked cool. Coversations are crisp and loud, with people hearing me great. Plus, they're A2DP and have a streaming module that you can attach to a non bluetooth audio source. Only problem is, I can't get audio from the 6700 to stream to them! I have the ad2p enabled - they're set as hands free and headset audio, and I have a bluetooth connection.
But when I open up wmp to play an mp3 (on media card OR in memory) it will play for like a second and then the sound cuts out. If I let it play - the sound will pop in and out like that - but mostly nothing. Now, I've noticed that the counter on wmp will hitch and pause like it's buffering, and if I pause the music and hit play - I'll get that one second pop of sound.
If anyone has gotten these to work I'd love to hear from them! I would keep them just for the great audio in a call, but I'd really like to be able to stream audio too.
those headphones look cool as hell! I use motorola ht820 but they are so uncomfortable plus they dont fold up like that one does, that is neat!
I think I am gonna get rid of mine and get these, wow.
As to why you arent getting a2dp have you done the a2dp hack for the ppc 6700 as you know even with the rom update a2dp was not included but fortunately a hack was made.
where did you buy your headphones if i may ask and how comfortable are they?
those are the best bluetooth headphones yet I have seen to date.
As to why they won't do A2DP - ?? I have done the hack, but no luck. Still great for cell phone calls - crisp and clear, but can't stream audio from the 6700 to the headset. I guess if you get them, screw around with it and let me know what you find.
I too am having the same problem. I have vx6700 with verizon, recently purchased blueant X5 stereo headset, loaded the files I needed to get A2DP, paired and selected the stero headset and hands-free for my device, then played some mp3's on media player. At first it starts playing on my headset for 1 or 2 seconds then cuts out, about 30 seconds later it plays music again for 1-2 seconds, and this pattern continues for the entire song.
Can someone please help me figure out what I need to do in order to get this to work? Do I need a different player? The music sounds great on my headset for the few seconds it does play, but I would really like to get this set up so I can use the wireless headset. Any replies would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
just get the jabra bt8010 and return the blueant. The jabra bt8010 is the best a2dp headset especially for our phones. No skipping, no cutting out, caller id, can transform into a mono headset from stereo, the battery life is incredible. Trust me there is no better stereo headset out right now and I have tried quiet a few.
Anyone getting these headphones working 1/2 decently? I'm using the clean and simple ROM and for music it's nothing but skipping (tcpmp or wmp) and even having it reliably connect for making a call is a problem. Customer service will spend the day on the phone however it seems fruitless. Any luck out there?
