Unhappy Venting: Why I am about to chuck my 6700 against concrete

Ok, sorry guys... I'm venting here. Since I "simplified" my life by combining my cellphone and PDA into one device, I am still wondering if I did the right thing. It looks like I got the worst of both worlds. My 6700 sucks as a cellphone and it sucks as a PDA. How many crashes per day can I stand? I've had this f@#%ing thing since Feb and I consider myself a power business user. I reduced my calendar sync to 6 months (from 5 years worth of data) thinking that it would help with the speed. I also have 1700 contacts and about 100 Outlook notes.

But here are my gripes:
1) Reception - this cellphone's reception SUCKS. My 6 year old Nokia 8250 cellphone has so much more range than this one. I don't understand it. I've always been able to talk on my cellphone at my house. Now, I can't - even if I get out of the house hoping that I get a better signal. I've always used the same carrier - Verizon. When I tried my old cellphone for testing, I always got more range. I thought that all phones pretty much had the same range. I guess I'm very wrong. My wife got the Samsung SCH- a950 and boy did that SUCK big time. She actually replaced it with another one thinking the first one was a "dud", but she got the same results. She eventually switched out to the LG VX8300 and has been in cellphone nirvana ever since.
2) Earpiece not loud enough - why did they even bother to put a volume control on this? The earpiece is not loud enough and it's so not clear.
3) Speaker phone - what speaker phone? This speaker phone is also not loud enough and it's also not clear. It seems that my cellphone's regular earpiece speaker is LOUDER or just as loud as this unit's supposed speaker phone.
4) Bluetooth doesn't work that well - this one stumps me. When I use my Jabra 350, people think I'm in a "tunnel" when I'm talking to them. The volume sounds really low, too. BUT when I lent my BT to my wife, it actually seemed like she sounded BETTER when I talke to her than when she uses the cell without. When I made calls with her cell, the clarity seems to be better as well - how come? All I can say is that this 6700 SUCKS.
5) Crashes - I probably crash about 5 times per day. Can you imagine how it looks like when I tell people in a board room that "my cellphone" crashes? It looks REALLY stupid. I don't even have any fancy programs running! I only have Voice Command and that's it.
6) Low battery life - ok, I understand that I'm doing a lot more with this phone. So THIS, I can actually live with. I just need to remember to charge this thing every night.
7) Syncing SUCKS - why can't Microsoft suck it up and just license the Palm's syncing program? I've NEVER had any issues with the Palm syncing.
Camera takes the pic 2 secs after you press the button - this is a major annoyance. I actually have to ask people to freeze their smile in order for me to take a good pic. Even if I take the pic correctly, the clarity really sucks - even after I seriously clean the lens.
9) Headset jack is a "mini plug" - what is up with that? To make matters worse, you can't just get a mini adapter to use your normal headphones. The plug has 3 black lines in it - mic, left and right speakers. A mini adapter only has left and right black lines which means that you have to fiddle with it to make it work. I just want to use my Bose QuietComfort on the plane and listen to my music - is that so much to ask? My goal was to reduce the number of gadgets I carry so I don't look like Batman when getting dressed in the morning. I don't want to have to carry an iPod. I just want to be able to listen to the music I have in my 1G card.
10) Ring tones - can someone send me some decent AND LOUD ring tones? Yes, I know that I can use actual music as my ringtone. But the cellphone only has a limited memory and I would have to store ringtones in the main memory and not in the card!

Other Annoyances:
9) MMS pics play like a movie - ok fine, this is more of an annoyance. It's no biggie, really.
10) Continuous "sent" alerts - geez...let us turn this off, please! (Yes, I know there's a hack to remove this - but I shouldn't have to hack into my cellphone to use it!)
11) Taking videos is choppy
12) If I have a "picture" attached to a contact, why don't I see their picture in a nice BIG screen when they are calling instead of the little pic that shows?
13) I think I've said enough....

Thanks for reading my venting... I know that I probably have the best PDA/phone out there. It seems from my reading that the Treo 700P (the 700W is crap compared to the 6700) will not be any better.

Thoughts?

Please do not create threads like these that cover multiple, unrelated topics, especially if the topics have already been discussed, it creates one giant mess and throws off the search function (see the sticky forum rules post for more information).

1. please do a thread title only search for "reception"
2. please do a thread title only search for "volume"
3. please do a thread title only search for "speakerphone"
4. start a new thread on this subject if you wish
5. you likely have 3rd party software conflicts (especially if the 6700 is stable/without crashes after doing a hard reset)
6. solved your own problem
7. cant help you there without some sort of description of the problem. if you prefer Hotsync over Activesync, the 6700 is probably not for you. Activesync does so much more than Hotsync ever could.
8. mine does not have this problem. maybe you should get your 6700 replaced.
9. adaptors for using regular headphones have been available from day one when the 6700 was released. see ppctechs.com, lots of others out there too.
10. you can download standard ringtones from hundreds of sites. simply use a sound editing program like XP's sound recorder to edit/increase the volume.
11. you probably have other programs running in the background or a hardware problem. i think there was also a thread on how to increase the frames per second so that may help as well.
12. please do a thread title only search for "increase caller"

Honestly, seems like you haven't done a lot of work in trying to solve these problems. If you want to use a device like the 6700, you are going to have to put in some time to learn it (by reading this forum) and how to go about troubleshooting. If you are expecting it to work near flawlessly out of the box, this is not the phone for you. People that are happy with their 6700 are those that are willing to take the time to read this forum and learn about its issues and how to fix them.
