media audio not transferred to BT headset; VC no longer initiating from BT headset
Hello, I am having all sorts of problems with my Bluetooth. I have installed the A2DP patch, and also installed MS Voice Command (with the hack). I have also installed an app called BT Toggle that lets me switch from the voice dialing mode to the audio gateway mode.
When I try to watch my Sling Media player, the audio starts and then cuts out after about a second or so. It also does this when I try to use Windows Media Player. It seems the application doesn't matter, it just can't get the audio to the headset.
The Voice Command also doesn't really work right. I can't really get it to work over the bluetooth. I can hear the call announcements over the bluetooth headset, but when I press the button on it it does not start the voice command with any consistency. Every once in a while it does.
However, I can answer a call just fine and talk on my bluetooth headset just fine.
My headset is an itech R35. Using a Sprint PPC-6700 with the ROM update installed, junkware removed, and picture mail installed.
I have nearly the identical configuration and some of the same problems. I'm still baffled by the Voice Command inconsistency. It basically works once and then stops working. BT Toggle seems to work until I start an A2DP session, then it doesn't matter what I do with BT Toggle.
Also, with the Telus version of AKU2 (like Allstream), the BT connection with Voice Command only lasts ten seconds.
One thing I have found is that I do need to turn off WiFi when I'm using A2DP and moving around. If I don't, I get major 5 to 30 second pauses in A2DP as the 6700 probes for WiFi networks.
So, I tried to make a call using the Voice Command thru my bluetooth headset, and of course it didn't work. So I picked up the phone, hit the voice command button, and gave the verbal command to make the call. It, of course, worked.
Anyway, a little while after I got off the phone, All of my audio apps worked thru the bluetooth headset.
So, perhaps the problem here is the BT Toggle program? Maybe it's not really switching modes or whatever? Mine was set to audio gateway all along, btw. But the audio gateway didn't work until after I made a call using the voice command (even though I couldn't get the voice command to work thru the headset, I had to launch it from the phone and speak into the phone to launch the call, and then after it started dialing I used the bluetooth headset for that call).
