please describe the different LED behaviors, program to alter LED colors/flashing??
So I'm the new owner of a 6700 from a Palm. The Palm (Kyocera 7135, great phone) is the only phone I'm used to, and the way the LED worked on that is that it would burn yellow the entire time you're in a call. Otherwise it did nothing (that I remember).
The way the 6700 works, as far as I can tell, is if your phone has service at all, whether you're on a call or not, then the right-side LED flashes yellow once in a while. If you are connected to a data source and have service, then the left-side LED flashes orange once in a while. If you're actively downloading data or on a call, then--nothing. Nothing's different. This is as far as I can tell--I've seen nothing in any of the pdf manuals which describe the LEDs.
Well this seems kinda sucky to me. Aren't both of these LEDs capable of changing colors (yellow/orange)? I know the right one will blink orange and slightly faster, sometimes, if you have a notification.
LEDs use like zero battery, don't they? Why not have the LEDs be more informative? Like, blinking yellow-you have phone service. Solid yellow-you're on a call. Blinking orange-you have data service. Solid orange-you are actively downloading or uploading. Blinking orange, then yellow, ten times per second-you're in a disco. Alternately blinking yellow and orange really fast-your phone is being stolen.
So if anyone knows 1) What other things, if any, the LEDs ever indicate besides what I've described
2) Whether there's a program or a hack that'll set my LEDs to behave the way I want them to--stay solid, blink faster, etc.
then please let me know.
This isn't terribly important, obviously, but it's annoying me all the same.
Well from what i know, and have seen from my own phone, and what the manual says is this... green (on right led) means you have service, it will blink green. when the right side blinks orange it means you have a notification, usually a message, missed call, or something of that nature. the left side leds are for the other wireless signals you might be putting out, like blue for bluetooth and orange or yellow for wifi.
