do registry edits survive a hard reset??

when you perform a hard reset, does the registry get wiped back to out of the box also? ... all of it?

I noticed on a couple hard resets before the hard/soft reset hack, that hacks I had previously made to enable DUN, and such were still enabled after a hard reset.

My registry edits survive HR's as well.

Mine always revert back to factory defaults. I noticed that most users that are having this issue have a Verizon 6700. Maybe there's something on it that's causign this?

Personally, I'd hope it would reset to fac. defaults. That's probably one of the reasons i'm doing the reset in the first place

Anything not in the ROM will revert back to factory defaults. If you want a specific registry hack to be re-installed after a hard reset, you can create a CAB that can be added to the ROM to re-install the hack. If you have customized your ROM, you may have registry hacks that are reinstalled after a hard reset.

To put it plainly, if you are using your phone out of the box, with no ROM modifications, the registry will go back to factory default after a hard reset.

Hope this helps.
