I was successful in finally getting the PPTP to work with my Cisco VPN concentrator. When I use terminal service and I put in an IP, which is also on my exceptions list, it will connect fine. But when I use pocketputty to telnet into a router on my network, it will never initiate a PPTP tunnel first like it does on TS. The address is in the exceptions list also....What am I doing wrong, and how do I establish a PPTP session manually first?

I figured it out. Here is how to do it for those that haven't figured it out...

go to
start>setting>connections>tasks

Then click on manage existing connections>VPN tab
Press and hold your entry and a window will come up to delete or connect.
Choose connect. It will go though and then connect! To confirm it you will need to click on the EVDO icon to make sure you are connected. You can then disconnect it there too.
