I'm trying to stream radio that uses WMA. An example is: http://players.eonstreams.com/FastAi...p?PlayerID=578
I've yet to find anything that will work. I've tried ORB, since someone said it would work on WMA streams, but was unsuccessful at getting it to work on that station either. Then again, I may not know how to use ORB correctly since I'm new at it. Basically, can any product sucessfully stream WMA radio?
I've used TCPMP to stream several WMA radio stations. The buffering ability will even let you pause and resume it, kind of like a Tivo for radio.
Of course, you'll have to find the stream address. That link you gave requires a login, so you'll probably have to hack it a bit to find the WMA stream URL.

I think the stream URL, or at least one that works for this site, is http:live.eonstreams.com/citadel_ar_littlerock_karn_am.asf
However, I loaded TCPMP and couldn't see any way to directly enter a URL. I'm a newbie to TCPMP so there may be a way, but I didn't immediately see it. BTW, once I found this URL, WM can play it, but I really don't like WM. Is there a way to add a URL into TCPMP?
Pocket streamer PRO. Easy. Simple. Will automatically kick off WMP for you and when you close PSPRO, it shuts down WMP, so it saves you steps.
Plus you can add your own streams and keep everything in one place.
You can find it in the 'Software Store' on the device. Easiest purchase I made. Install it after the AKU 2.0 update and the Tornado-A2DP patch and you'll be happily surprised - because 'virgin', the program contains close to 150 stations, audio and video!
Gads, that makes it worth the cost....

I frequently like to listen to the following radio station streamed over the net: http://radio.webstream.net/radio_pla...nCallSign=KFAY
Although it's a Windows Media stream, I've never been able to get it to work on the 6700. I know many of you are much better at this than me. Can anyone get it to stream successfully?
How do we get orb working with TCPMP? i searched and i know it has been discussed but i cant pull up anything in Search with ORB. I can only get orb to pull up wmp.

I think that does the trick. Thanks. For future reference, how did you figure that out?
Funny, I just tried the link again and it's repeating the intro over and over. Sometimes the streaming on the stations get messed up. I have a station that I listen to and every once and a while it can't connect to the stream (on the 6700 and on my PC).
Anyway, what I usually do is find a station I like on my PC. If it opens up Windows Media Player by itself, you can go to File-Properties and get the URL (shown as location). If the WMP is embedded into a frame, usually you can right click on the controls (like near the volume controls) and then click on Properties to pull up the info to get the URL. Once you copy the URL, close the player and try pasting that URL into your browser to verify that it works. If it does, I go to the Sprint website and send it to myself in a text message (make sure to include the http:// or mms:// or whatever was part of the URL) so I can just click on it to play the station. If you want to save the station as a favorite in PIE, usually you have to create a generic favorite and paste the address in the favorite properties because PIE won't save the address when it lauches from the text message (in other words, it'll just launch WMP but there won't be a proper URL in the address box).
hopefully someone can help me here. I'm really confused at this point. While using the streamcenter website, it would pull up almost every station by just clicking on it. But after a week of doing this, WMP would no longer pull up the stream. I like to listen to ESPN radio in different markets. I don't understand why it would just stop all of a sudden. I get this error message in WMP: "Cannot play any items in the playlist. For additional information, on the Now Playing screen, select an item., and then press Menu>Error Details." When I follow those directions, it tells me the same thing. I use Memmaid to clean up, if that's important to know. I always clear my IE cache. I would appreciate any advice to get it back up and running. Thanks
i love tcpmp for my movies, but i could never get it to open a radio stream. Even after associating all files, it gave me an error. Any other suggestions?
I like the features of TCPMP, but I find the interface to be awful--especially the menu and buttons. (Another pet-peeve: When listening to audio, most of the interface is empty.)
Trying to press the buttons is a major hazard when in the car. (I know, I know; but when at a stop light, it's natural to want to start listening to music or to change the station--and safe, besides. In those cases, the WMP interface is a snap to use, in comparison.)
Has anyone released a product with TCPMP's features but with a more PPC-friendly interface? Or am I missing something? Does TCPMP support skins?
i actually just grabbed the newest version of tcpmp and now everything streams. well that was simple. I'll check ORB later on and see how it works. There was only one problem I saw with TCPMP compared to WMP: When running Orb, the picture and playback was not as smooth in TCPMP. It was enough of a difference to make me not use it. Maybe the new version fixes that. I hope so
