Backup no longer available in Activesync?

It seems that the new version of Activesync no longer has an option to backup your device. I used this with my XV6600 and it saved my butt a few times. Is there another way to backup to the storage card or something? I guess I can just revert to my old version of Activesync.

TIA.

Sean

Welcome Sean,

You may want to consider a backup program like SBP or Sprite for your 6700. That said, unlike earlier versions, Windows Mobile 5 PPC's have persistent memory. This means your 6700 will not lose saved information or third party programs even when the battery goes completely dead. Hence, WM5 compatible versions of ActiveSync do not include a backup program yet. Please note that if you do a hard reset, all your data will be lost and the PPC will be set back to the factory defaults. Anyway, just to be safe, I recommend installing backup software and backing up your system on a regular basis.

Please also note that this topic has been discussed many times. So before starting a new thread on an old topic, you should first try to find relevant threads by using the search button. Anyway, hope this helps.

Best to all,
Rhacy

WM5 requires ActiveSync 4.0 or later so reverting back to AS 3.8 will not work
