background phone settings

Hey, I've been trying forever to get to the gps. I have the following so far:

hit ##778
then click on edit
then enter 000000 as the password
then home

I just do not understand them. I am a vb.net 2.0 programmer and the part with the gps on the api's is missing.

Google Maps

In response to why Google Maps 2.0... MyLocation might not work is that I recall that it may only work for phones on a GSM network. I have a friend that was working for Lockhead...I recall him talking about them trying to triangulate positions of cell phones using the towers. Problem is that with that certain network (I think GSM) is that the phone is constantly changing frequency and jumping towers and such. Making it pretty hard to work.

6700, GPS and Telenav

Sprint FAQs
Telenav indicates this phone requires a stand alone GPS to work with their plans.

When are you folks gonna give it up? We have had many, many hacks for this device, including WM6.1, if we were going to have access to the built in gps data it would have happened many months ago. Let it go people.

Not Gonna Happen

i would assume that until every 6700 no longer works that this will continue to be looked at.

the thing we are looking at now is that the GPS module in the phone works, but nobody seems to know how to hack into it because of "API" restrictions... there are many assumptions as to howthe GPS is programmed..

i found something about the Mogule or 6800 that was hacked for AGPS. if anyone can look into it i bet the settings could be imported from the Titan to enable it. anyone brave enough to try to install this on an extra 6700 laying around? or maybe someone with development skill?

How To: Add GPS to HTC Mogul - XV6800 - P4000 - Titan | PhoneNews.com

it is obvious that alot of the crazy developers have moved on to newer devices and they have been successful in hacking them. this includes the blackjack, the q9c(it has GPS but it has also been hacked to include AGPS) the Mogule...
