Errr...GnP. The title of the tread is called "PIEPlus 2 Released".

You linked to version 1.31.

I mean...we're not that dumb.

Hello Purth good buddy,

Thanks for the heads up. Could someone tell me if pie2 allows users to tap delete in yahoo mail, or is that a java script issue?

Has anyone found out how to turn off the audio 'ding' notification that you receive when each page has completed loading?

Handango has not updated that page yet as it is referring to version 1.31. The product is up to version 2 now. On the Reensoft.com site http://www.reensoft.com/PIEPlus/history.html it mentions WM5 compatibility with v2.

It is fast, but has anybody gotten minixm to work with this? It keeps flipping back to the PIEPlus and stopping the media player. I'm tired of messing with it and uninstalled it but I'd be curious if anyone else can get it to work. - sheureka

I uninstalled it too..mostly for the reasons already mentioned:

could not address bar to re-appear no matter how many boxes I checked/unchecked, it just never came back. couln't even get it to shift between full screen and no-full screen, just stayed full.

I'm using MiniXM and PIE2 without any problems. It does keep refreshing the screen (for reasons I don't understand) but it streams great. I did turn off the the page loading completed 'beep' as that interfered with enjoying XM.

Those having problems with missing address bars and such, make sure if you're using Pocket Plus that you've disabled the pie features ofthat otherwise it will bleed into this. That was causing me problems with fullscreen mode as well.

Unable to run a speed test with PIEPlus V2.0

Has anyone been able to run mobile speed tests (http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed) using PIEPlus V2.0? I tried to run tests, but after the speed tests start the browser either shuts down completely or it goes through the process without providing results. It would be great to understand why this is happening.

Thumbs up Found The Problem!!

Okay, maybe you're like me and loved the concept of PIE+ but had "issues" with it...

Well, reading the webiste gives some answers:

Quote:
--The button assignment does not work if you installed AE Button Plus.

--On WM5, if you turned on PIE full screen before installing PIEPlus, the tab bar and the address bar does not work. This problem will be fixed in the next version. Before then, you can fix this problem by editing a registry value or installing PIEPlus again.
1. If you can edit registry, please go to
[\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Main] and set the value of [FullScreen] to
0.
2. Or uninstall PIEPlus and launch PIE, turn off the full screen mode,
close PIE. And then install PIEPlus again.

--Some pages which write HTML code in Javascript can not be optimized with PWO.

--PIE has a bug to detect html. If the web server sends content type with charset according to HTTP/1.1 specification, PIE does not recognize the page as text/html. We can make it to work by modifying some registry values. Please send the url of the page at the support page to add the charset in the next version.

--AvantGo pages will not be optimized with PWO.

--PIE can be identified as PIE by Javascript or other methods even though the identification of PIE was set to IE 6.0.
I have AE Button Plus, so that explain that behavior.

Also had the problem with fullscreen/address bar and this DID fix that. So I'm back to using PIE+ again. Nice.

Thank you..
1) AE Button Plus is a program that allows you to re-program you hardware keys, and more importantly, add up to 4 functions per key (one tap, two, three taps, long hold). I highly recommend it.

2) PIE (pocket internet explorer) is what's included w/ the phone. Technically though it's Internet Explorer Mobile, but whatever, lol

3) PIEPlus is the add on. It literally integrates w/ regular PIE. If you don't like it, uninstalling it is fine and you'll be back to normal. Uninstaller works very well.

4) SPB is nice and although it is large, you CAN remove/uninstall 90% of it. I've kept the PIE enhancement and SafeMode bootup.

5) PIEPlus does give you 'tabs'
