Dissapointing Storage Space - Install Programs on MiniSD? will they work ok??

New XV6700 user here.

So I just purchased the XV6700 and I installed some of what I call essential applications.

Spb Pocket Plus
WebIS Pocket Informant
Ilium Soft eWallet
Microsoft Voice Command

And when I attempted to install another must have app (Mapopolis), I cannot because I only have 2MB of space left. So the question is, has anyone successfully installed programs on a fast mini SD and have it perform adequately?

I'm thinking of getting a 1GB SD card and installing some apps there instead of the severely lacking main memory.

Thanks!

By the way, I'm an iPaq 5555 user that is trying to converge.

Pretty much all programs work well when installed on a miniSD card except for programs that use the today screen such as Pocket plus, or registry editors.

also, clear your Pocket Internet Explorer temporary files (its an option in Pocket Internet Explorer). this will give you more space to install programs.

The cache is something I've cleared. I found a pim.vol file that was occupying 17.5MB though. I guess I need to lower the number of items I sync.....
