This may be obvious to everyone but me but I just discovered this trick and I think it's the greatest, as I hate how there is no way to change the way the contact list is sorted. One solution I've seen is to add a comma to the end of the name, (ex John Smith,) but I didn't like how it looked.

If you are editing a contact, in the 'Name' field there is a little upside-down triangle that, when tapped, opens a dialog that allows you to enter a title, middle name, suffix etc. My solution? Enter the entire name for the first name, and voila!

I usually just put an underscore in between the first and last name. (ex. John_Smith) That way I don't have to go through all the extra work and i think it looks better than a comma. Thanks for sharing the tip Pskyi.

Changing the Outlook settings works, as suggested. I still haven't found a way to make new contacts (entered on the phone) conform right away to FirstName LastName though.

what I do is make the contact on the phone and then use outlook to switch it to first name first later.

Does anyone know of a way to enter or change to FirstName LastName in WM5?
