I decided after numerous searchings of threads, forums, websites etc trying to find tweaks for my xv6700 i decided to compile them all into a word doc to make my life easier after numerous Hard Resets from playing around
There is approx 16 pages worth of registry tweaks hacks etc for the XV6700 and the PPC6700..
Oh..im not responsible of course if you use any of the hacks and your Phone turns into a paperweight. Gotta CMA of course!
I would like to thank everyone in these forums for their contributions to this document. I got most of the tweaks from the sticky and other various sources.
If I am missing any Hacks or Tweaks that anyone is aware of please let me know and I will update the doc accordingly..otherwise ENJOY!
This is also not to be a support thread on the tweaks within the doc please..this is purely for people to get an all-one-one location of the various tweaks and to help people find their answer faster.
How did you get the Today plug-in for wireless info to work? I did the "Wireless" modifications you describe, and "Wireless" apprers in the Today options, but there is nothing on the Today screen when it's checked.
Great doc, I have one saved on my computer from all the searching etc. This will definatly make some newbies life a lot easier. What I have notices that gives me the most performance is changing the cache size to 4096, the enablecache 1, and then go to filters and the replecachesize to 4096, that single hack speed up my phone as well as the screen rotation. Other than that I use the No sms msg, and the phone and wifi hack. So far so good fast and stable. I have also done the hack before to change the vocoder to 13k voice and that seemed to make the phones volume drop a little, didn't notice any difference.
Looks like Sprint, Cellular South, and Alltel all have updates. So I guess Verizon doesn't have it yet. Sucks for me since I just started working for Verizon and I'm getting that phone and dropping the Sprint one I have.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand doesn't exist in my XV6700's registry. In fact, there's no string value of "SDDialer.exe" anywhere in the registry. In addition, the binary itself doesn't exist on the system anywhere, according to Resco's search function.
I can occasionally get VoiceCommand to dial using the BT headset. Most of the time it simply ignores my commands if issued through my Plantronics Discovery 640. I have AGC turned off, and manually setting the gain doesn't seem to influence whether or not VC will pay attention to me. I have to push button 1 to get VC's attention in any case.
Is anyone else using VoiceCommand with a bluetooth headset on an XV6700?
a few weeks ago I found and downloaded a word document that contained a ton of useful hacks and I can't seem to find it again. it would be awsome if someone could help me find it or tell me where to get a list of hacks for the 6700. thanks

The document you are looking for can be found here. Thanks to tritonman for producing and posting it. In general you will find all of the "hacks" available for our devices in the tips and tricks sticky post at the top of the 6700-forum page.
