Is null keyboard the only option?

It drives me crazy how the on screen keyboard is always popping up while I'm using PIE. I don't like the idea of using null keyboard since there are going to be times that I want to use the on screen keyboard. I just don't want it popping up unless I hit the icon. Is their anything that can do the job?

Yeah I like Resco Keyboard. It still pop ups though. No Biggie.

You do know that NullKeyboard only adds an option to the different input methods, and, if you are in need, you can still select the normal keyboard on the input methods options?

Yes, but that's a lot of trouble. I'm looking for something that keeps the standard keyboard from popping up unless you hit the icon.

Try this: the next time the keyboard pops up, instead of hiding it, just start typing with the external keyboard. This should hide the keyboard panel until the next time you bring it back up yourself.

The OS is supposed to operate this way in WM 5.0. If you hide it, it will come back, but if you just use the external keyboard, that is supposed to signal to windows that you don't want the keyboard input panel and hide it until you bring it back up. It seems to work for me.

Thanks for the tip, but that's also a hassle especially since I have the eNovo case and don't have access to the keyboard unless I remove it from the case. I guess there's just no way to keep the keyboard from popping up. Having it pop up automatically when using PIE is a very dumb design flaw.

It is a PIE issue, Minimo does this as well.. But not Opera Mobile.. It is yet another reason I use Opera Mobil Beta 2 as my browser on the 6700.
