Online .cab Database for PPC Programs. Do you have one?

I am not sure how to ask this question, so the title is the best I can do.

Is there an online database anyone has set up for storing/keeping/selling programs that contains .cabs that can be downloaded directly to a PPC connected to the internet?

Yes, I've been around pdaphonehome.com for years.
Yes, I know variations on this question have been asked many times, in many different places.
Yes, I know that you can copy the .cabs from your own PC since they're all stored either in the activesync folder or the individual program's folder.

I'm thinking I'll set up my own ftp site and keep all my .cabs online as a backup solution for times (like now) when my MiniSD crashes and the file structure isn't being recognized by the 6700 (or else was totally erased and isn't recoverable--I was reinstalling after a hard reset and benchmarking Pocket Hack Master when it froze up. I soft reset and lost access to the MiniSD).

Sure, I can use Avvenu.com to transfer the files I need individually from my PC at home to my 6700, but who wants to take that kind of time away from a busy schedule?

So, I guess my question is two parts:
1. Is there some kind of online database for .cabs?
2. Has anyone set up their own?
2B. If you've set up your own, how is it working for you?
2C. What service are you using?
2D. What else can you share about your experiences?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

www.freecabs.de is all I can think of, but that's not really what you're looking for.

I would say an FTP site is your best bet. Keep the .cab for your FTP program on a storage card so if you have to do a hard reset when you're out of town or something you can install it and get online to get your stuff.

Wouldn't logmein.com be able to handle this request? If you cabs are stored on in your actviesync folder, just use logmein and connect to your PC. Then copy the cabs to your phone.

Like I said, looking for a faster, easier way to deal with it, than copying one file at a time, which seems to be all I can do with Logmein.com (pro) and Avvenue.net.

The PC I usually connect to isn't always on and even if it is, it's not the fastest thing in the world. It would be much easier to have a database online to pull from at some 3rd party site. An SD/MiniSD isn't always reliable as a backup--like with what happened with me today.

Would still love to hear what solutions others have found/are using.

Edit: I am currently looking at box.net to store my files. Wondering if anyone else has an input?
