Does anyone know what these files are?

The windows folder on my 6700 is littered with .dsm and .rgu files. I can only see them when I browse to the folder via activesync or windows explorer. If i look for them through file explorer on the 6700, I can not see them. I tried to delete them as they look like temp files, but it says they are in memory or on a protected drive and wont remove them. Here are a couple of examples of them.

Anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them?

Why do you want to get rid of them? Sound like system files to me.

I saw these files too. At first, I thought they were temp files, but then realized they were some kind of system files. The reason I was looking at them was a problem I have with the xv6700 freezing whenever I open an application or folder under the Windows directory. Everything just stops for half a minute or so, then resumes again. It's almost like the Windows directory has some bad sectors or has too many files so that it is slowing down the device when accessing that directory.

Two simple examples are opening up the Windows directory in file explorer (or Resco file explorer) and opening up Programs. The unit will just hang for 20-30 seconds, then resume opening the window or folder.

Anybody else experience this? any fixes? or could it be some program that I have installed?

It just takes a long time because there is so much stuff in the windows directory. Mine takes a while too. Not 20 - 30 seconds though. How often do you look in the windows directory though? Does it bother you?

It is a lot more annoying when I am setting up the device and installing applications. Now, it's just more troublesome since I am using Programs as the main entry point to most of my applications. I have yet to try a 3rd party program launcher, any suggestions? I saw my brother's i730 program launcher which looks pretty good, unfortunately, it's not available for the xv6700.
