the bluetooth connection for wmodem is much better in my opinion than the usb because of the ease of connecting.

so to that end how can we upgrade the phone to bluetooth 2.0 to make the connection faster.

or if there are any other ways to speed up the bluetooth connecting that would be great

No it is not upgradable. I dont think the bluetooth connection being slower than USB is because of it being BT1.2. The 721kb bandwidth of BT1.2 should allow more than the 115kb connection. To me it seems as though when you tether with bluetooth you are only operating at 1xRTT speeds.
