Help - Not receiving incoming phone calls (phone sort of freezes)

For the past two weeks I've been having this random problem where I reach for my phone and can't seem to turn it on. Typically after 30 seconds of pressing the power button and ejecting the sd car and reinserting it it turns back on. Then the phone immediately rings with the missed calls I've missed. Of course these calls I get really happened an hour ago or whenever they really called.

This is REALLY frustrating for two reasons:

1) I'm missing phone calls
2) I can't turn the PDA on easily

It happens randomly. It's basically happening 1-2 times a day and it's causing me great hardship. For instance, someone was supposed to 'call' me when they were at my office so I could let them in for a meeting. I checked my phone when i got to the office and all was well. An hour later I checked it and it was locked. I turns out they got there 45 minutes earlier and were waiting outside in their car.

This is unacceptable for me. Has anyone else seen this problem? I thought it was related to overclocking to 520 MHz, but for the last week I've turned XCpuScalar completely off and it hasn't improved. I think it may be related to the SD card, but I have no programs or system stuff on the SD card, just mp3s, videos, and pictures. I don't think an acceptable fix is to leave the SD card out.

What am I missing?

Thanks much

Do a search for "DSOD" and "dark screen of death". There has a been atleast couple threads covering possible/working fixes. Some of them do work. Mine gets DSOD once a week (or so).

Yeah I just found the 24 page thread. I'm not happy to learn that it was brought up in October and still today there has been no resolution for it. I'm trying a few of the tweaks, like removing the SPB pocket plus memory guage from the today screen.

If this doesn't get resolved, I'm sorry to say I'll be forced to return this for another device
