Wifi conflicts with EVDO Exchange Pushmail Syncing

ok, I have a ppc 6700 with the updated rom. I recently noticed when on Evdo if I get a call it goes to voicemail. So I searched the forum and found the programming reset instructions and they worked. However it seems it broke something else. Prior to doing the programming reset and reprogramming, if I connect to a wifi access point my evdo connection stayed connected and the exhcange server would sync through my evdo while web browsing, streaming etc worked via wifi. I know this because I got my exchange email while streaming orb via wifi. After doing the reprogramming and with evdo now being interupted when I get a phonecall, now once I connect to a wifi access point and start using wifi, my evdo disconnects imediately. its like now its either one or the other. And prior to doing that reprogramming that never happened. Ofcourse it shouldnt matter in theory right since I am using wifi for data and my voice calls arent affected but exchange push mail via activesync doesnt work via wifi, while connected to wifi if I hit sync it doesnt sync and gives a message like exchange sync is only for cellular connections. Infact if my wifi is idle activesync tries to dial my sprint vision connection and connects and syncs but once I start transferring data it immediately disconnects the evdo connection.

Is this normal behavior, because I know 100% before reprogramming this wasnt the case

I just tested this. I hooked up to my wifi at home, then sent myself an email message from a web based email on my computer, and Exchange immediately synced it to my handheld. I did not try an actual sync, but the fact that the email came through..

when you got the email was your evdo disconnected or connected? and did you have the rom update and did you reprogram your phone like the thread said so that incoming calls interupts your evdo session?
