Can't turn off Wireless Sync & go back to using AS for syncing "Notes"

I'm trying to turn off Verizon's wireless sync for Notes and go back to using AS (just for notes), but I can't get the changes to "stick."

I de-selected Notes in the Wireless sync software on my 6700 and on the Wireless sync website, and disconnected from Wireless sync for several hours.

I then deleted my Activesync partnership, rebooted both my phone and my desktop, and started a new AS partnership with Notes (but not Tasks, Contacts, Calendar, or Email) turned on.

Everything worked right for the initial sync, but when I went back to re-sync later, Activesync had de-selected Notes. When I re-selected it, the 6700 got into a loop trying to sync through both wireless and AS simultaneously.

I've re-checked the settings on both the 6700 and the Wireless Sync website, and they both still show Notes as de-selected.

Any thoughts on how I can straighten this out?

Thanks,
kal

Call Verizon data tech support at (866) 788-9837. I believe you have to deactivate your account on their WebPIM (wirelesssync.vzw.com) in order to stop the sync. Be sure to also remove the PC Monitor software on your desktop.

Well, I don't want to stop syncing everything wirelessly, just the notes function.

I will give them a call when I get back into town, though.

thanks,
kal
