Prevent WMP pause when turning off screen?

I searched web and came up with nothing.

Does anyone know how to keep the Bluetooth Audio Gateway open when the screen is off?

I started the Stereo Audio (A2DP) gateway, play a Windows Media Player song, and then press the top power button to turn off screen (to save battery, etc.). The music immediately stops.

Thanks!

Pressing the top power button not only turns off the screen, it suspends the device and pauses WMP, whether or not you are using Bluetooth.

Just let your screen backlight time out, don't push the top button.

You need a screen lock program like mortsaver or DeviceLock (written by a member here) to lock the device and turn off the screen while allowing the music to keep playing.

what i always do is hold down the power button, the backlight will go out, but if you look closely the screen is still there and the joystick still works all of the functions.

There are many power states the device can be in.. Holding the power button for 5 seconds does leave it running and turns the backlight off but it still leaves the screen running. Programs like mortSaver can turn the screen off completely to save even more power.
