Is it possible to transfer my text messages to replacement 6700??

I just got my replacement XV6700 in the mail (the old one was having problems). I transfered all my contacts via ActiveSync 4.1, but is there any way to transfer all my old text messages? Is there a directory that holds them all?

I think that the mail database is held in the root directory in a file called cemail.vol. Try copying that over and then performing a soft reset. And for future reference, contact and calendar data is stored in pim.vol. I make it a point to regularly manually back this file up.

I tried copying that file using ActiveSync file explorer, but it won't let me. Says access is denied.
