I messed up ActiveSync: deleted connection and PC won't recognize 6700

So somehow I messed up activesync. I assume it was when I was trying to make the changes so that activesync didn't start by itself all the time and eat battary. it's still there and i can still access the screen but I can't get it to sync with anything. I think I deleted the connection with my PC. How do I go about fixing that? ActiveSync setup on my PC won't even register that anything is attached to the USB port anymore either, so it's not as simple as just making a new partnership.

just noticed that in the "connections" menu the "when cradled" option for USB has a ' in front of it and that is the only usb option. is that normal and if not I assume that is my problem...how would I fix it?

I feel stupid...and I know this should be an easy fix, but i'm too sick n tired to figure out what it is.

Go to your active sync on your PC and make sure the connections is setup for USB. Sometimes mine gets unchecked for whatever reason and doesn't see it when I plug it in. From that point it should see your 6700. If it doesn't there is something seriously wrong. You might delete the partnership from there and create a new one which will initiate when it is seen by your PC.

just so no one thinks i'm a total idiot...i had deleted my profile on my laptop last night and that didn't help, so it must have been something with deleting my profile on my PPC that allowed it to work i guess...
