FlexMail SLOW -- "Receiving Message List"

It takes FOREVER for FlexMail to receive the message list.

Is this happening to everyone?

Yes, it's a very slow application. The hope is that Version 3 will be faster.

Does ProfiMail render html properly? How about images? Html was the only reason I bought FlexMail, but it's just too unstable for me.

HTML works great! It takes about 2 seconds for the program to load; there is no lag while the program gets a message list. I can start the program and check two pop accounts in about 15 seconds.

This a great!

I agree Profimail is great. But it does not handle SMS. Flexmail does...or at least tries.

I tried ProfiMail yesterday. The trial period is pitiful, I didn't even get one day! From what I could tell in the little time I used it, it's fast and it's has a very different look to it. However, I could not see a way to download part of a message, then mark it for complete download later. There is an option to downlad a partial message, but I only got the headers. Then when I opened a message, ProfiMail would conncect to download the rest of it. This happens for each message I opened. Seems very inefficient and wasteful for those who don't have unlimited data plans. It also seems to use PIE when you tap a link in a message. I use NetFront as my default browser, which POutlook links to just fine. It seems to have some nice features, but also seems to rely heavily on the stylus. Some of the areas to tap are so small, like the expand/collapse indicators, that I have trouble hitting them. It would be nice to get more than a few hours of trial time for what seems to be one of the more expensive applications. It's hard to get to know an application in sucn a small amount of time.

You can download as much or as little of each message as you like.

Go into advanced settings for the account you want to change. All the way at the bottom of the advanced settings list of options, you can enter any value you want under "Download max. KB." I have mine set to 15KB, and the program downloads 15kb of each message, which is always enough to get the text. If I open a message with an attachment, I can click an option to get the whole thing.
