The low bluetooth volume problem - Fix is to get a new one maybe?

Since there doesn't seem to be any software fix for making bluetooth headsets any louder, is there one (or several) bluetooths out on the market that when you turn up the volume on the device, it actually gets loud, regardless of how bad the WM5 volume sucks?

I guess I don't get how it works, but it would seem that there should be a lot of bluetooth headsets that have a strong native control to amplify the sound with it's on volume up, resulting in a louder sound, regardless.

Again, I guess I just don't get how it works...

Which ones have you tried? I have not had any volume issues with the following:

Logitech Bluetooth headset
Motorola HS810
Motorola HS850

Almost everyone (I think you are the first I have seen post) complains about low bluetooth volume. It is so bad with mine that I don't even use it. I had a Treo 650 for a bit, and the same headset was perfect with it. However, it's basically unusable with my 6700.

It's a nokia HS-11W -- I've got no problem going to BestBuy and buying a couple ones that other 6700 users say are loud and "work perfectly". I can always return them with in 30 days if I find otherwise.

So you say those are as loud as the phone, and you own a 6700 right? (asking because your signature doesn't list it)

No problem with the Plantronics 510.. It's built in volumn control works great.. I can crank it up to loader than I find comfortable.

I think part of the problem is the gain on the 6700s output, but also there are some headsets like the 510 that more than comensate for it.

I use the Plantronic's Discovery 640. I absolutely love it and have to actually turn the volume down often times.

I have no issues with the incoming volume its the OUTGOING volume that is too low. I get constant complaints that I cannot be heard well enough or that I sound like I'm "far away".

I'm using a Anycom HS-890. The incoming sound is great (at times too loud) and it fits snug on my ear.

Does anyone know how to raise the incoming volume?

I own a convertible and even with the top up I get alot of background noise. I have tried the Jabra BT250, BT500, BT800, the Flamingo, NXgen and the Tekkeon 3000. The Tekkeon is the loudest by far and is my primary headset. Not the most comfortable or the best looking but definately very loud. In my case this was a function over form issue. I am going to try the Plantronics 645 when it comes out because I hear the Plantronics 640 is also loud and the 645 is the 640 with noise cancellation technology

Good luck and keep us posted
