I'll look into that.. I wanted to ask if anyone can confirm the E-Ten dialer working on a VGA device? Any word on this?

So here is my attempt at a dialpad. Created over the weekend. It only has the portrait version and I probably won't create a landscape unless someone is interested simply because I never dial in landscape mode...

I simply call it... Fire.

Suprisingly, the red text works well in the sun, but then I use a anti-glare screen protector which I think is making the letters glow...

Anyway enjoy.

Very nice! These new skins are inspiring. Say, what's that icon in place of the asterisk?

Thanks.

Just a character I found in one of the fonts (Map something). Thought it kind of looked like a fire.

Thanks for the awesome Glass skins. I used the BlackGlass_Grey one. It fits perfectly with the Vista Lite Wisbar Advanced Skin and is quite readable in sunlight unlike the default skin.

I like the fire skin also. Thanks for putting it together. If you want to get more into it, pls try some bright lighter colors for the background.

Trehouse, The reason I left the colors dark, beside the fact I was thinking coal burning, was because of contrast. I don't think the red would standout well enough if I used a lighter color. The top part is was also arranged to match the text colors set by the dialer (white for the previous call info and black for the number being typed in).

I'll be coming out with a new colored theme shortly called... Ice.

I've also come up with a better way to produce the illusion of button motion that I tried with Fire. So expect an update to Fire as well.

has anyone tried the skins with the pictures, where it says only reccomended for the 8125 or what ever?

also does anyone have a matching today theme for the grey skin?
and whats up with the backspace arrow button, is it messed up or is it jus the way it is?

not being critical just curious...

I think I have done all I can do with it at the moment. I added the images to skin the Smartdial Drop down menu but there are still issues in the software. It does not seem to call up the same buttons as the original skins on button presses, and like I stated before, the incall screen still uses the system text. I have been following the progress on this E-Ten version and hope it shapes up into something we can use with my skins..

If anyone was having issues with the new skins and the smartdial bmps, I have now included two sets of BlackGlass. One includes smartdial support and the other does not. Just an FYI, as some people reported having issues with it.

Dumb Question

If ETN is installed and I don't like it, is it easily uninstalled with the default MS dialer inplace?

Pauly,

I've had couple of problems.
I've installed BlackGlass_Grey. When doing this, I had to copy inaler*.* to my SD card and then use Total Commander to copy them into windows folder because otherwise I was getting read-only or not enough space error. Also, "Sprint PCS" is always in Blue not in grey, under spead-dial -- all the balls on the left are in blue and voice-dialer screen is blue .

Did I srew up the install in any way?

Thank you for the great looking skins

Okay I couldn't decide on which I liked better so I created two... They have the same button layout but with two different backgrounds.

Ice...

ETEN Dial Skin - Ice.zip

And Snow...

ETEN Dial Skin - Snow.zip

Also an updated Fire. This has the new layout for the button press, giving a better button motion illusion.
ETEN Dial Skin - Fire.zip

Enjoy.

Another Skin for the E-Ten Dialer.... I started working on another skin over the weekend.. Let me know what you think.. I should have it posted on my site by tonight.

Oh yeah... In the Dialer image, 6 is being pressed and in the call staus image, speaker phone is on...

One more thing.. As you may have already guessed, this skin will be named Vista..
