I second that and to take it a step futher instead of the grass put a BLACK FLAME image behind the transparant buttons. That would be hot and go along with almost any today screen because of the color scheme.
I'd go for that one! Listen, you guys do unbelievable work. Any time we get too pushy, just say so. Every time you come out with something new, it just leaves our mouths watering for what might be next. I want you guys to know how much we appreciate all the hours you put into improving our phones!
So I didn't get the job I thought I had... So in need to vent my fustrated artist...
I wasn't very happy with my last version of a orange skin, so I now give you, Orange A-Peel.zip.
As in the past, this includes a theme, but this theme actually matches much better. When you switch to the dialer you the background doesn't move but stays in position. It's also landscape-able.
This set is also a little more complete set... It still doesn't include a landscape version, just don't see the point, but now includes a incoming call background.
Anyway unlike the previous skins, you'll need to use the black dial text color which is the default with the E-Ten dialer. (See my previous post to see how change text color if you are unfamiliar 206)
As always, enjoy...

Poqeteer, when we said orange I guess you took it literaly! : )
Again, nice unique skin. I'll give it a try.
Thanks!
Thanks Trehouse. Couldn't resist the "Orange" reference...
I should have mentioned... I did put pictures behind the contact phone frames. If you clear the call history after making or recieving a call, you'll see it. Also when a call comes in without a caller ID, I also but a picture in that frame as well.

Pauly, I like the second one... It's less bright. I should be one to talk... My last one was almost all white.
These are two others I had been working on.. Just thought I would throw them out here...
I really dig that blue style..could you also do it for the dialpad?
As far as the clear, I think I see what you're going for but it may be too clear. What about just adding color to the numbers/functions and keeping the rest clear? That'd be kind of neat..
Here's a crazy question, is there any way to make the dialpad even larger using the real estate above the numbers? I love lots of the skins you guys seem to have mastered (yup, much better then Eten did em) but when forced to dial (I use VC) the larger the better!
My concern is the visibility in bright sunlight. It seems to me that what would work best would be darker keys and a set of silver numbers and letters.
I love the designs that have come out, especially the "glass" look.
Jackaroe, would it be possible to darken the blue to a royal or navy blue in your last offering? Also, could you change the coloring of the numbers and letters to a silver color?
Something like this. Also note, my carrierlogo.gif file does not show up anywhere. It is in the windows folder but it doesn't seem to get picked up. Anyone have a clue about what I can do to get it back.
Trust me on this one. Load the Dark Skinned dialer and go outside and try to use it. Or, find a magazine with light print (white or silver), dark background and one with normal (light background, dark type). You will notice the light background, dark print wins hands down every time.
I'm not trying to force anyone's hand here. Just making a suggestion for when one of our constituents decides to make a new skin. I think many will be pleasantly surprised. Also, anyone who used the Silver/Gold Kokkos skin can attest that is was much more readable in sunlight than a dark skin, light text setup.
Thanks for hearing me out

I have to agree here.. The trick becomes designing a skin light enough to use with black/dark gray text while not lightening it so much that it becomes "washed out" looking.. Something like that iPod Skin is so light that if I threw some black font on it, it would look odd, but would also be the best solution for outside use.. I could try to lighten the blue glass status screen above and switch it's font to black but it may loose some of that "sleek look".
The Dialer looks a bit... um.. not sure.. Who needs the letters on their dialer? It looks so good without them but I know that may cause some people issues. Maybe if I just made them smaller? Let me know what you think..
OK.. I ended up just rebuilding this whole design.. I still think it lacks the contrast but let me know..
This looks awesome and contrasts well, a very light lime green (in the place of baby blue) with the dark text would also contrast well for better visibility in sunlight.
A person doesn't exactly need the letters on the number keys per se, but how about a redesign that puts the number on the left with the letters organized vertically beside the number...just thinking out loud and unsure if it is even possible

You read my mind.. I think making the letters smaller and placing them vertically would look nice.. I'll post it later..
