You should be good to go with your A2DP install. This may be a dumb question, but have you updated your Sprint ROM to 2.06.00 WWE? If not, the A2DP files in this thread will not work.

Best to all,
R
yeah, I`ve got the new ROM set.
the Wireless Stereo option shows up if I Edit the device. I even hear a little bit of static as though the 6700 and the 590 are trying to work together. I`ll also hear the first half a second of the song and then its silence and an ulcer.
it doesn't appear that you are opening the bluetooth gateway for wireless stereo?
i'm not talking about edit...press and hold on your device (under bluetooth settings...make sure you have bluetooth and the device on, obviously) and a pop-up menu should display - you should see an option for "Set as Wireless Stereo" - you'll want to click this. a bluetooth stereo icon should appear (and disappear if you click it, for some reason) and you should hear a sound informing you it's been connected.
sorry if you tried this already,
-jeff

Not only will the 'headphones-with-a-musical-note' symbol appear, but you should hear the 'inflbeg' tone (rising ring) once the headphones connect. That will be the audible clue, in case the screen is outside.

i installed the two cabs and the files to windows and the my stereo headphones work. But there is skipping for the first 10 to 20 seconds.
I also picked up the scosche bt recever and it cotects but skips and never clears up.
I did not however make all the reg edits listed. I think that is what my problem is, but here is the thing I'm not sure how to add additional language. I can change decimal values, but when it comes to this degree of edit- I get lost. If you can help, please reply and I'll give you my contact information and maybe someone can talk me through it on the phone.
I really want this to work
PLEASE HELP.
I am using a Telus 6700 with the AKU2 update. I have installed all the necessary files and hacks to enable A2DP, which works fine, except when I use Audible to listen to books, the sound only comes through on the left channel. Does anyone know a fix for this?
if you plug in a pair of regular headphones to the 6700 (with an adaptor of course), does it still only send audio to one of the speakers or do you get audio from both left and right speakers??

I've been after Audible for months to either allow me to listen through WMP or fix the Audible player so it will play on both channels. They keep saying there will be new software soon, but in the meantime I use my iPod to listen to books. I'll post if I get any better news from Audible. - sheureka
Thanks sheureka. I figured it would be an Audible issue. I wonder if there is a registry hack that can be done to make it work? A couple of the registry changes to enable A2DP link to WMP, so it would make sense that linking to Audible better may fix it???
@Marty.....yeah, wired connections produce sound on both channels.
Can someone please help... there are 2 .zip files on the first page of this thread. one has 4 files in it and the other has a zip within the zip and also instructions for changing some reg stuff... From what I understood the files actually change the reg and therefore no need to mess around with editing the reg... can someone please clarify which file todownload and how to install... sorry about this but help would be appreciated!!! thanks!!!!
Having already decided to skip work today, i reset the rom on my phone, and reinstalled with the hack in the correct order:
Copied the dll files into the \windows
ran the cert cab
ran the Toronado cab
soft reset
paired the device with A2DP and hands free
same stutter problem.
I even tried the reg hack (which apparently hasn't worked for anyone on a 6700) Im beginning to think my headphones suck. does anyone else have this make/model?
oh, and ive tried using WMP and Mortplayer. both jitter.
any ideas?
EDIT----->
Forget to mention, wifi is not on (i even tried turning off the phone portion) and i drove around in my car, trying to escape the clutches of the evil 2.4 noise. no go.
I just got this working on my VX6700, and it's great. Sometimes when it starts up it has an an *occasional* skip, but for the most part, it seems to be able to go without skipping after that, even if I've got it synced up and I'm transferring files to the card! (though usb)

If you don't have a smartphone, you have a dumb phone.
Remember, NON-cert cab first, then the cert cab! then soft reset, edit the device profile and refresh, select all the profiles then go out to the devices list, tap-and-hold on the headphones and select both of the 'set as' choices.
Do them in THAT order and there won't be a problem.

you mean XV6700? I thought it didn't work on the XV because there was no rom update yet like there is for the sprint ppc version and you need the rom update with aku 2 or whatever for the A2DP to work...

facegarden if u could post the exact steps and in what order for the XV6700, it would be appreciated for all the new VZW people who will be updating now that new ROM is out....
Up and running with the Logitech BT Stereo Headset!!!!!
My sprint buddy seems to think my XV6700 is louder then his PPC6700 using the same BT Headsets!!!

I think your right. A lot of people are commenting about the volume increase on the Vzw rom. What did they do that sprint didnt? Its AKU2.2 vs 2.0. Anybody care to take a gander? Perhaps vzw use should dump reg and look at the attentuator reg entries to compare to the sprint. I remember when i did the rom update on the sprint the ringers were a bit louder but actual earpiece volume was not really affected.
Just food for thought.
Im very curious since I have had the luxury of using both devices on the respective carriers. Well almost. Long story. XV should be arriving sometime this weekend. Im going through withdrawals.
I have the Sprint 6700 and I when i tried doing this, it went perfect until after I actually paired my headphones. I have the logitech bluetooth headphones for mp3 (they are identical to the ones for ipod), but I can't seem to get sound coming from them.
I copied the 3 dll files to the windows folder, and installed the tornado cab. Using the bluetooth, I paired my headphones and for profiles, there was "Wireless Stereo" so I checked that. After hitting ok, and trying to play a few songs in GS Player, the sound seems to come through the 6700's speaker in the back.
Is there anything I should be doing so that the sound works on the headset?
