jjanicik, do you have your wi-fi turned off? I've found that when I have wifi on it studders, as soon as I turn wifi off, smoooooth.
Jim
I have read somewhere, sorry I can't remember where, that on some devices Bluetooth and WiFi share the same antenna. Perhaps that is the problem that some are seeing?
No, I do not have WIFI turned on. Also, I should note that if I use the internal speaker, there is no stuttering. Only when I use the A2DP stereo headset.
Also, the stuttering does not go away after 10 seconds, it continues. It occurs using Window Media Player and TCPMP. Also, when I use it as a headset, the person I call hears me, but I do not hear them.

Not necessarily the same antenna, but the same 2.4 frequency. Bluetooth if I remember correctly is spread spectrum so you might be experiencing issues when it hops into the range your AP is using. I'm not sure however if it hops till it finds a non-congested chanel and stays there like cordless phones do.
I have the update installed. I attempted to pair it with my notebook, but that didn't happen. So I need to buy a set of headphones. It looks like the Motorola HT-820 gets good reviews, but I can't find if it has a mic for taking calls. I dont want to have to talk into the phone, but hear on the headset or something goofy like that. Can someone help me out?

Tried with Motorola HT820. Everything works except for making call with the Voice Dial. It just displays "Dial ..." then hang there. Anyone got this working.
Just a heads up... The MSI FS300 clip-on bluetooth unit with earbuds works well for stereo and call mode with these A2DP files. Although, the stereo music output is far from high quality, and there are WMP skipping issues for the first few seconds of some songs. Doh! The good news is that with CORE's MP, the music quality is better and there's no skipping so far. Both media players are set to buffer, if that helps anyone...
Anyway, after testing the MSI FS300, I can confirm that the i-Phono BT420ex headset is not compatible with these A2DP settings (it will not pair for stereo, only hands-free). That said, the BT420 and stereo dongle combination do produce higher quality sound, albeit, with less range before cutting in and out.
The Logitech for IPOD headphones work fine with this patch. As mentioned before, the Wi-Fi at the same time causes stuttering and is not usable. I had the same problem on the IPAQ 5550 I had with the HP Bluetooth headphones (which are the same as the Logitech IPOD model except these have a dongle to go with an IPOD). By the way, I got these for $85.99 at Newegg and they have a $50.00 rebate through April.
The IPAQ would work with the bluetooth headphones AND wi-fi when I used an external 802.11 card in the expansion slot. So maybe if there is a mini-SD 802.11 card out there it might work along with bluetooth without stuttering.
(and I just tested them with the laptop and Bluetooth 2.0 dongle and they work plus as an added bonus, the dongle works great with my SD card MP3 player too).

Best to all,

Thanks for the update on the FS300, rhacy.
I haven't even tried making calls with mine as I bought it mostly to play around with Bt stereo using the MSI Star Key 2.0 dongle on my IBM T42 notebook. I'm planning to hard reset my PPC-6700 and load a lot of new software versions this weekend, so maybe I'll try out the A2DP hacks with the FS300 before I do that.
if you have stuttering try letting it go for a minute or two and see if it clears up - spinedoc mentioned that he had stuttering but then realized it stopped after a few.
damnit i have to find time to upgrade my rom and try this out!!!

I have the same problem like spinedoc. it stutters when i play an mp3 from WMP. I tried to drive around to be away from my house and still stutters. What could it be? I was ready to go to the gym and have a good work out with my new toy but no luck................ Please help anyone........
as stated above make sure your wifi is off and make sure other programs are closed to free up memory and processing power...you could also try overclocking with phm or xpuscalar to see if it's a Processor problem.

The wifi is off. I made sure i did a soft reset and no luck. how do i overclock my processor?
I'm not really sure if that has anything to do with it.
My observations:
The quality is excellent.
The product is very quirky.
Sometimes, I lose the A2DP profile entirely, and the thing functions basically as the low quality mono gateway.
Most of the time the whole thing works great. The buttons work. Calls interupt properly and stereo audio resumes properly. Controls on the headset work - ALL of them. The connect button initiatiates Voice Command - (you need to modify the registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\path to be \Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe (string))
Anyway, whenever I have problems, I turn the headphones on and off once or twice, and the whole setup functions normally. Also, I have had success going to the BT Headphone setup and choosing the device tab and selecting set as stereo headphone from the context menu.
It's quite a bit flakey, but it works! Yeah!!!
Also... I called HTC about this. The tech there said that both HTC and Sprint were very dissatisfied with this version of the product (A2DP profile) and left it out intentionally. This tech said that an update with an improved version should appear near the end of the year.

Yeppers has an internal mic for calls doesn't have the volume of some of the others I have used but it is good (not to mention - stylish). Used mine today at the gym; VERY nice to be unplugged!!

That's funny. They are disatisifed with the quality of A2DP so they left it out, yet they seem fine with the DSOD that continues to plague most users. You should have asked them if a fix for that was also coming near the end of the year

What type of charge connectors do the Logitech headphones use? Is it the same mini usb-b version as our phones or something else?

HTC and sprint will wait for AKU 3.X since they are not happy with this release.
The IPOD Bluetooth headphones come with their own special charger with a Y adapter built in to charge the headphones and the bluetooth dongle.
By the way, I had trouble with high bit rate WMA files in Media Player but I haven't had any trouble playing MP3's in PocketMusic. I need to experiment some I suppose to see what works and what doesn't.
I just tried streaming with GSplayer while connected by activesync in the cradle and it works just fine with the IPOD bluetooth headphones. Sounds fantastic too!
