I had the same problem. The design seemed a bit poor on that headset, and there is no way to adjust it. For me I think the issue is I have a large head (hat size 7 3/4) I had to dump them and go with the Plantronics 590a they are much more comfortable and priced the same.

I'm still totally bummed Im on verizon so this option won't work for me, and MSI won't pair with my head set so I'm still stuck with the dongle.

I'm using the Plantronics 590a headphones to listen to XM through minixm.com and it, for the most part, is working. If I place a call, it pauses and resumes fine, but if I have an incoming call, I don't get a notification of the call or the voice message.

I am unable to get this to work on my Plantronics Voyager 510. I don't care about stereo (obviously, since this is a single speaker) but I would like to listen to my slingbox and/or music through this BT headset.

What am I doing wrong? I installed the files exactly to instructions, soft reset...?

EDIT: Got it to install properly, but the A2DP function is greyed out. So I can only assume it's not possible to use a standard BT headset and stream music? Wonder why not. Who the heck wants to wear a huge bluetooth headphone set all day?

Like the above poster said, A2DP is for stereo sound. You do not need a2dp if your headset only has one speaker. To use A2DP, your headset must support the wireless stereo profile. If you have an ordinary headset, you should be able to listen to your pda sound without this hack. Try pressing the multi function button on the headset, and the audio gateway should open. If it pulls up voice command instead, you need this:

I tried this also, so it must not work on the old rom. Looks like update time for me!

The cert file isn't in the download on this page...where can I get it?
Thanks

Odd, my problem is with WMP not the A2DP. Other programs with sound output sound fine with no stuttering. Only WMP stutters.

Anyone have any ideas?

Seems to stutter the first 10 or so seconds then it plays smooth, is it doing some kind of buffering?

SpineDoc,

I still have not be able to get my i-Phono BT420 headset to work with A2DP, so not sure if the edit below will help. Nonetheless, it's worth a try.

Registry Edit for Popping skipping on music files

Try this registry edit to change the priority of the sound playback.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\Priority256

Modify DWORD Data to 1

This makes sound process a higher priority than other processes.

Best to all,
R

OK only happens on music stored on my storage card, I tried streaming XM radio and playing from main memory, and it sounded great. So the problem is with A2DP and my storage card, hmm.

rhacy thank for that, tried it and no go.

Yeah. The popping/cracking mp3 playback has been arround for a while and was supposed to be fixed in the new rom. I think it has something to do with the powering of the minisd.

Wow! I go away for a week or so, and come home to stereo on my 6700! I've got it working with my BTH-820's - although I don't think I get the volume I got from the 6600. But the sound is excellent. - sheureka

sheureka-- interesting results. Would you say the sound quality is identical to that you get when using the BTH-830 A2DP transmitter? Because mine is noticeably worse.

Are you using WMP or another program? What is the source audio (mp3s, sling player, audible, etc.)? Finally, in WMP when you hit the Play/Pause button to pause, can you press it again to resume playback? For me, once I pause it the only way to unpause is to do it from the PPC.

Thanks! I've already got an RMA from Semsons but I'll hold off on sending it back for now.

I installed the update, but do not yet have any bluetooth headphones. In my logitech bluetooth headset there is an option for stero output, but it is greyed out (so in short, I believe so, yes)

Yeppers. I also noticed that you can really hear the clarity or lack there of between mp3's that were ripped at 320bps as opposed to 128bps.

I have paired a couple of headsets with my 6700 and have found the following:

GoldLantern GLITE - w/ their proprietary adapter they are great, however, directly paired with the 6700 and problems start to crop up. Though they have a greater volume than the HT820's the popping and crackling is really disturbing at higher volumes. Phone functions unavailable from the headset during audio playback. The ability to jump songs with the headphones didn't work properly. Not to mention they fit weird around the ear.

Motorola HT820's - They got it right with these!! (in my opinion). Solid headphones, good quality, volume could be better but not bad, popping/crackling not that great to disturb the song. see above about the 320/128 thing. All headphone functions work as designed.

All in all, I am extrodinarily happy with the 6700/820 combo....harmony in motion.....plus the fact that this functionality now exists.

Stutter Problem with IOGear Stereo Headset

The installation went smoothly for me, however, I get major stuttering when trying to play any audio. The mic seems to be working. I tried the registry setting for greater audio prioirity and this did not help. I noticed that even though I had uninstalled the MSI Player, that some files were still in memory. Might this be the problem? Any other suggestions.

Thanks
