I purchased a Plantronics pulsar 590a, it has a built in mic as well.
I installed both Cab files as directed, along with the .dll.
I restarted and paired. It gave me the option of having it as a handsfree device and/or a Stereo device. I chose both.
It works fine for the handsfree function, however it won't do anything with windows media player. Even when I turn off the handsfree function, it won't do anything with media player. I pressed the talk button and it beeps once, if I hold it down it beeps twice, but still nothing.
I was able to get the phone to recognize the Motorola HT820, and it shows 3 options:
Hands Free
Wireless Stereo
Headset
Nomatter what I select, it doesn't send the sound to my headset. What do I need to do?
By the way, I am not able to import the registry file with PHM Registry Editor.
Select all three options, then save.
Select Both the options 'Set as Headset' and 'Set as Wireless Stereo' on the popup menu when you tap-and-hold the headset on the device list.
Turn on BT, if it's off.
PRESS AND HOLD THE RIGHT 'M' UNTIL YOU HEAR THE TONE AND SEE THE 'HEADPHONES-WITH-A-MUSICAL-NOTE' ON THE TITLEBAR!!! I don't know why, but the 820s need this to cue the 6700 that you want stereo output!
That should work, and give you ALL the audio to the headset. Plus, if you get a call, just answer as normal, then once you disconnect, tap the right 'M' again, to return to your player's audio.

Does anyone know if performing this hack allows you to use it (stereo component) for streaming over a mono headset (like the WEP 200). I was thinking that might produce better quality sound/phone calls and stuff. Maybe even listen to audio books/lectures like that until I save up for a bluetooth stereo headset.

Mono headsets will pair as mono, and sound exactly the same, even with the A2DP hack installed - it is a different BT Profile and will only pair as Hands Free, and not as Wireless Stereo.
Does anyone know if the A2DP hack will allow you to listen in stereo via bluetooth in a car. Currently, my calls are only heard on one speaker in my car. Does the A2DP hack fix this?

I would like to know this too, I think this would be great! I can tell my customers about this when I install the BT car kits.
Grrr! I had this working just fine with a Jabra 350 headset, but since updating to the 2.06.303 WWE ExtROM, I cannot get it to work. Was there something in the update that broke this functionality?
I wonder if you could make this a little less "easy" e.g. step-by-step instructions for those of us who cannot get anywhere with this? Cant figure out how to copy those files to Windows. BIG Thanks John
One HUGE suggestion. The reason mine was clipping all the time is that when you fire up windows media/Pock music etc, the programms are updating their library of their songs. While these programs do this they will play through the standard outputs fne, but a2dp takes more resources and the players cannot handle it. In WMP, when you load tracks on your card run the library update and let it finish before playing. Same with pocket music. Load your playlist, but the scroll to the bottom until it shows the times for all the tracks. That's when it has loaded all the track info and has indexed them properly. After that, works beautifully. Oh, and it only took me two months to figure it out. LOL
I am unable to copy the 3 files to Windows. Need DETAILED step-by-step instructions. Probably not only one. Anyone have this? TIA. John

I'm so choked. I had finally found a working A2DP setup with my headset, key was to move away from my wifi networks, I remembered that all this wireless stuff is 2.4Ghz. I had it working well enough that I'd get only an occasional skip here and there. Running rom 3.5. Only big showstopper was when a call would come in it would hang the headset.
Then I went to the Sonorix website and found that there was a firmware update for my headset. Upgraded my firmware hoping it'd fix the incoming call problem and now stereo audio is totally busted. I get a short blip of audio at the beginning of the file and then nothing at all. I'm so choked, I'm trying to get the old headset firmware back.
Hello All. Just purchased a Verizon VX6700. I want to use A2DP headset to stream audio via Media Player to my Bluetooth headset. I am a GOOD PC person, but this is all new to me. I think I have the wrong install files to complete my task. One member stated that there are two .CAB files I need. I downloaded a ZIP files that contained 3 DLLs, 1 TXT, 1 REG, and another ZIP within. The file was called: A2DP. This file unzipped to Tornado_A2DP. If possible would someone PLEASE explain the ENITIRE process in Layman’s terms? I am new to ACTIVESYNC. One of the post referred to copying files to the VX6700 WINDOWS folders via activesync. Under activesync, I never see the WINDOWS folder. If someone would point out everything step by step, from where to download necessary files, HOW AND WHERE to install them, I would be HAPPY like all you guys.
