possible to use iTech stereo headset with 6700 for streaming audio in stereo??

I've got a Verizon 6600 and was thinking about upgrading it to a Verizon 6700, but I see a lot of people having difficulties with BT and especially Stereo headsets. I'm looking at also picking up a SONORIX Bluetooth Stereo Headset OBH-0110.

Right now I'm using a Verizon 6600 with an iTech Stereo Headset with fair results. I'm using it to listen to streaming audio over EVDO with Resco Radio.

I want to make sure I can migrate succesfully. I'm not too worried about recieving calls on the headset, as the phone functionality is secondary to me, I just want my streaming internet in stereo.

I realize this is discussed in many places on this board, but the majority of the conversations are from Sprint users complaining about Sprint's ROMs. I had to hack my 6600 stack with a ready made hack and wonder if another is available for the 6700 and if it is known to work with the Sonorix and how well.

Thanks a lot!

BT stereo does not work on the 6700 - the AD2P profile is not available with the MS stack (the 6600 uses a Broadcom stack). It was supposed to be included with the the new ROM that came out a couple of weeks ago, and Sprint is saying that there will be another release that includes the high quality audio stack very soon. But right now your headsets won't work unless you use a BT dongle on the phone. But now that I've said that, I moved over from the 6600 about 6 weeks ago and I'm very happy with my new phone. EVDO, built-in wireless, much more stable BT, etc. all more than make up for the lack of direct BT stereo for me. - sheureka

quality?

What's the quality like over BT stereo sets anyway? I've heard that it's a far cry from regular headphones...

On my iTech with my 6600 it is excellent. You can't use it for watching movies though as there is a slight delay in the signal, but for listening to streaming music or audiobooks it is perfect.
