Gives feedback via vibration while pressing phonepad keys. Tested with updated ROM. Doesn't seem to work while in a call however. Once installed, make sure you have the keypad set to Short or Long tone under "phone settings". Had to soft reset before it took effect.
wow that's cool...feels kinda weird though - but seems very useful.
i had my keypad set to short tone and then installed this cab and it immediately worked.
i do notice that the vibrate length, like the sound, depends on how long you press the key...so it would be optimal to give each key a good press, otherwise you won't really feel a vibration...which is actually good because if you're using a stylus, you'd give quick light taps with precision and wouldn't need the feedback.
thanks livewirevoodoo,

What are the intentions of this program? To provide some kind of sensory tactile feedback when you press the keys when you don't really have your eyes on the phone? I can't dial if i'm not looking at the screen either way though. I guess it's kind of a neat option to have.
It completed the phone dialer for me. Before the speed dial hack (sprint) came out, then the updated ROM, I was using D9 as a dialer and came to appreciate the vibrating feedback. I wish someone knew which registry key(s) are modified by this CAB, as I'd prefer to go that route. Also, if there is a way to hack the hack so the vibration works during a call (as opposed to just dialing) that would be great for entering PIN #s, etc...
It doesn't vibrate when pushing the keys always. I ended up pushing the key again until it vibrated and ended up dialing the wrong number. Habe to get used to it first I guess.

It only vibrates for as long as you touch the button (and then the "short or long tone" setting) so you just have to be deliberate with your button pushes. It'll take some getting used to for sure, but no more so then just getting used to the little buttons was.

I mean seriously, it takes power to make this thing do all the great things it does, so why even worry about it anymore? How much time do you spend dialing numbers anyway? Just grab a second or third battery and live happily ever after.
I think that is what most have done.

When I uninstalled this CAB, it has ruined my phone dialer. It is extremely slow and the keys no longer make the correct sounds. Anybody have a solution?
