Screen will not respond to stylus taps (responds to finger taps ok)

For some reason that I cannot figure out, when I tap the screen with my stylus, it doesn't respond. If I use my finger, it responds. WTH? I tried each of the styluses (sp) that it came with, and I can't figure it out. I appreciate any help!

Maybe try to "align" your screen again. What kind of screen protector are you using? That just sounds weird.

I think it's a pressure problem. A pencil eraser will work, but the stylus won't. It's bizzare.

I think we may have a winner for the "Strangest Problem of the Month" contest. Someone's really going to have to concentrate to beat this one.

I had a similar problem with a new 6700. My stylus would work sometimes but only when I pushed really hard.

The problem was a noticeable gap betweeen the outer plastic screen and the bottom glass screen. I had to push the two screens together before I could get it to recognize an actual tap/press.

I swapped it out and it works much better and the screen actually feels firm rather than being "soft".

I've noticed a similar problem w/ my 6700 lately. It has been partially ongoing, I have noticed it twice and I have to do a re-align and it seems to fix the problem. Most notably it seems to be the lower right hand corner of my screen. I don't have a screen protector on the device right now and it is still an issue. Mostly it seems to happen in a third party program that I use called ProStudent. Not sure what's causing this.... i was hoping I was just a wimp and not pressing hard enough. who knows. seems kind of random to me.
