Picture and Video Program locks up everytime I open it - any way to reinstall??

The built it Pictures and Video program locks up on me everytime I start it. Is there a way to reinstall just that app? Anyone else have this problem with the Pictures and Video program?

There's no way to uninstall it as it's part of the ROM. There may be software conflicts that is causing the app to lock up. If this is something you use often, you are probably going to need to hard reset and install your apps one at a time to see which one is causing it.

Thats what I was trying to avoid. I know the Hard Reset will fix my problem but I don't want to reinstall all my apps again. I was hoping there was a Cab file or something to just reinstall that program.
Thanks for you help,

Pictures & Video Locking up

I have this same problem on both my wife's PPC and mine as well. The problem cropped up immediately after doing the upgrade... I actually noted the bug existed prior to installing any new software ON BOTH units...

I've conducted several re-installs / uninstalls of the add-on software as well to see if that made a difference..none..

Been working on this for about 2 weeks now to no avail.

We both like this app as it allows us to pick images via the thumbnail view and select for email transmission to relatives...

This app is also called by the CONTACTS when you want to associate a picture to a contact.....it virtually creates a hard lock of the system..sometimes you can get out of Pictures & Video..but it's as if the system CPU is now consumed and you get really do anything.

At this juncture I'm stumped.. If anyone finds a solution please post

In my situation it was a third party app called "Notify Link" this is a scheduled push email app for my work email. I did a hard reset (after backing up everything ofcourse) then started installing one piece of software at a time and testing the Picture and Video app. It was definitely Notify Link. So I sent the Notify Link company an email and they sent me an update in the form of a small cab file to update the notify link software on my phone. That fixed it.
So I recommend the dreaded hard reset then test all your third party apps one at a time. It is a pain but the only way you can really narrow it down to the culprit.

eTen Skin Dialer was my problem

Well found the culprit on my phone.. it was the eTen Skin dialer.. I have the version that shows contact thumbnails when they call.. i suppose that is the relational hook between the Pictures & Video app and eTen...

My wife has a ppc-6700 as well and it does the same thing on hers.. I have twice as many apps on my phone.. The only other app we've installed on her phone is the Slingbox player and SplashID.. both of which i removed..did a phone reset.. P&V worked fine..installed ETen Skin...BOOM.. P&V stopped working immediatley.

Odd nobody else has seen this... well .. now what do I really want P&V functionality or bigger dialling buttons....

Or try what I did and write an email to support for Eten Skin. See if they have an update or if they can come up with a fix.
