Exclamation CAB to install TREO 700w Today Plugin Speed Photo Dial !!!!

EDIT: I added the cab file. THE GOOD PEOPLE AT XDA FORUMS, ESPECIALLY TOFCLOCK ARE THE ONES BEHIND THIS!!!

it places the picture speed dial today plugin on your today. Just install the cab and run.

UNZIP and install the cab file.

-under today items there is a Speed Dial plugin
    -there you can change settings

when using the plugin on the today screen it will connect directly to the number, IT WILL NOT BRING UP THE DIALER, however, you can use the RED END KEY to end the call. If you have a bluetooth headset, it WILL ALSO CONNECT.

EDIT- you can bring up the dialer using the "call status" left soft key

EDIT- I also added the google search on today screen.. its the second file zipped

    under settings, place

P.S. I am using an XV6700, Verizon phone

I installed the cab and it shows up on the 'remove programs' list, but I can't see a program icon to run it from. Should it show up under Programs? THanks,

    Andrew

There's two cab files available in the xda thread.
    1) TestTodayPlugin.cab
    2) Verizon Speed Dial Plug-In.cab

    Which one should I use?

Strange -- nothing shown on the Today setting screen, but it does show up under installed programs. I assume on the Today screen means one of the check/unchecked boxes of things to include under the Items submenu.

Same here. It appears only on the Installed Programs list. not on the today screen. not as an "Item" on the Today Screen setting's "items" list

I have old sprint ppc6700 (red logo) with old ROM

ok so everything doesn't work, like the "Quick Keys" don't work, nor do the voicemail buttons pop up when the option is checked. I suspect this is because we aren't using the phone dialer from the 700w. We need someone to hack to at least have call the dialer to the screen, so the call doesn't remain on the today screen. Also, adding extra numbers, commas, etc under the second tab when creating a speed dial doesn't work for me...

Do a soft reset and it will show up in the Today->Items list.
    SMT-5600 >> PPC-6700 (Apache) >> PPC-6900 (Sprint Touch)
