Looking for ways to increase the volume on the 6700

I was serching the tips and tricks thread and i didnt see any hacks for increasing the phone volume. At max the phone volume is below par and is hard to hear. I wanted to know is there a reg. hack that will eliminate this problem. Or does anybody know of any updates that might take care of this problem in the future.

Peace!

Hello and welcome. If you have not done so already, please take a moment and read the sticky forum rules post located here:

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=66189

It explains how to go about effectively extracting information from this forum by using the search function (searching the tips and tricks thread is only the tip of the iceberg). In short, you should do a title only search for "volume" in the 6700 forum using the advanced search function located here:

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/search.php

Thanks!

Hello, I have Audiovox 6700 and I am frustrated with the low volume

[font="Times New Roman"][size="2"]:

I have had my pocket PC--audiovox for almost 3 months now and I really dislike the low volume rings, most of the time I missed my incoming calls because of it. Also, sometimes it is hard for me to hear the other person speak, vise versa.
Today, I called Verizon customer services and the person who helped me gave me a lot of information and this website, but when it comes to electronics and technical stuff, I am clueless.
Therefore, I was wondering if anyone can help me step by step with the adjustment of incoming call volume and speaker volume; I would be greatly appreciate it.

I have had several 6700s from two companies - all made by Audiovox. Volume is a problem. Even had technicians work on it. No change.

May not be the answer's you're looking for but some ideas:

1. Use the vibrate... that thing is loud... especially on say, a conference room table.
2. get a nice loud wav file to use as your ringer
3. get a bluetooth headset

The volume thing is an issue with the phone, but imho, it's much better than the verizon 6600.

You can always use a Sound or MP3 Editor and increase the volume of the mp3. Do a search for "lound ringers" and there should be a how-to in there. I have done this will all my ringers. I also have used the vibrate and ring, just for the extra safety.
