After upgrading to the new ROM, I've experienced a lot of lockups on the phone. Every few days it will get "stuck" in EVDO transmission mode and won't let me place any calls out. Also incoming calls won't ring through. The only fix is to do a soft-reset. (Turning flight mode on and off doesn't help).

-I run DirectPush (which works well)
-I also have Egress and Agile Mobile (the alpha)

Could Egress or Agile mobile be the problem? Also I did the EVDO call-interruption fix (reprogramming with MSL) after I updated the ROM. Interestingly this fix removed the "Clear Voicemail Icon" from the settings. Did anyone else notice this?

Should I hard-reset and start over, or is this common with the new ROM?

This is, at least I think, what is happening to me. I upgraded and reprogrammed the MSL. The way I notice the lockup is that it will eternally try to sync (push mode from an exchange server)... and my battery will be sucked down by noon. Also, I have historically put the phone in Sprint Only mode to avoid any roaming, but regardless how many times I put it in sprint only mode, it reverts to automatic mode every few days as well. I changed my plan to one that allows free roaming, so it's no longer a major issue, but it is annoying to know that I can't depend on my settings.

Personally I don't remember having a clear voicemail "icon" (other than the checkbox in the phone settings, which does exist) so I don't know if it's been removed.

Jello - yes I'm talking about the checkbox in the phone settings, mine disappeared???


And I agree - it looks like it's constantly trying to sync and it kills the battery.

I woke up this morning and had 5 voicemails because no calls would ring through. I tried to check my voicemail and the "Dial" button wouldn't do anything. It just sat there.

Jello - which third party apps are you running? I'm sure this can't be normal AKU2 behavior (or many others would also experience this...). Did you also do the EVDO fix after the ROM update? (Reprogramming with your MSL?). For some reason I have a sneaking suspicion that that is causing problems.
