please help me setup terminal services with my 6700 and PC

I apologize if this has been posted but believe me I have searched and searched. I googled and even tried to take the different aspects of setting up remote access to my desktop and putting it together and I can't do it. I have a DSL modem bridged to a Linksys WR54G router with the latest update, XP pro and running sygate firewall. I have absolutely no idea of what I need to do. I went to, my computer>properties>remote pc and checked remote desktop. When I go to add remote desktop users I don't know what to do or what info I need to add. On the phone when I go to Start>System>Terminal Services I am asked to put in server IP. I assume that means my desktop computer IP? If that is the case do I need to add the port number at the end of the IP? I set my router up to forward port 3389 as directed to do in a thread that to me and my inexperience was very vague, Can someone point me to a tutorial, thread, sticky, or another site. I guess I can always call tech support. Thank you for looking at this post.

I've been using the Telnet Services Client that came with the ppc6700 for awhile now. I followed the guide on this site to get it working.

But today I tried using logmein and let me tell you it's many, many times better. I cannot emphasize how far superior it is. I should have tried this before.
