I have orb installed and working great on my PC at home. I installed a new TV tuner card so I can change channels on my satellite receiver. The new card came with the USB IR transceiver. Everything works fine when I am watching it from a PC but when I try and watch live TV from my on my PPC6700 every 20-30 seconds it channels up. Then 20-30 seconds it will go up again. This morning I double checked it from my PC and watched HBO for 1 hour and it didn't change once, but then on my PPC6700 it changes every 20-30 seconds. Help please.
I've seen this too, only I won't even get video, it'll just sit and pause, then after a little bit it moves up a channel...over and over and over... I posted on the orb forums but have heard nothing yet.

Can anybody please help me with what may cause this problem. I don't have a need for a TV tuner card if this won't work. I wasted 90 bucks.
Please help.
I've seen the behavior where it will auto channel up from the PPC.
In the tools section of my.orb if you're logged in on your PPC, there are three options, in advanced, for the mode of Media Player. If I leave it in default (the first option I think) it will go up a channel every few moments. Less than every minute or so.
I've found if I select mode 3 (again, I think, I'm working from memory here) it will go up one channel just a few seconds after live TV starts playing, but then if I hit the rewind button in the media player it will go back to the channel I wanted in the first place and stay there. Kind of goofy. They've got some kind of bug, because changing this mode does seem to have some kind of affect - and none of the modes work quite right. I think mode 2 never would play at all on the PPC.
I would swear that the first few times I tried it it didn't switch channels like that. I've seen several changes over the last month, so it seems they are continually tweaking these functions - sometimes causing problems. For about a week the video didn't fill the screen, and then it went back to full screen. Nothing changed at all on my PC (orb server) or my PPC, just the behavior of ORB. That tells me these are problems in their software.

Also, I've also noticed that during primetime, weekday evenings, I have had a hard time getting a reliable stream. I was guessing that was becuase my local cable network is busy, and I'm not getting solid upstream bandwidth. In addition, I'm guessing the sprint network was also busy enough at this time, that between the two systems the communciations support for Orb was weak. When this occurs, the channel hunting seemed to happen.
However, I have to admit, I haven't tried during primtime since I played around with the media player mode settings and switched to mode 3. During this last weekend it seemed to make a difference, and I was able to get a fairly solid streams the couple times I tried it - of course after hitting rewind once.
