bad Sandisk miniSD card??

I have a SanDisk 1 gb card and it seems to work fine for a day or two, then my phone won't sync or I lose the phone app. It doesn't seem to matter whether I install applications on the card or just use it for storage. If I remove the card and do a hard reset I can get everything working. Then I can reinstall the card and everything works again for a while, then I have the same problem. If I don't reinstall the card, everything on the phone and sync keeps working.

Obviously, I am reaching the conclusion that there is a problem with the card, but since everything involving the card seems to work at least for a while I am wondering if the problem is in the interface or something I haven't thought of yet. I am on the verge of buying a new card to see if it makes a difference, but I hate to do that if the problem is in the XV6700 somehow. Anybody have/resolve this problem?

Your phone not syncing or losing the phone app has no connection to the mini sd unless you are installing something on the disc that syncs? If you are not then there is no connection and unless you have rewired the phone app that has nothing to do with nothing. Sounds like it may be your phone if you have done a hard reset and it persists.

Danm, are you actually doing a hard reset or just a soft one?

If you are really hard resetting the phone and still having the problem, then I agree that it sounds like the phone is at fault. If you're just soft resetting (rebooting) it then there is probably a software conflict to blame.

I've hard reset more times than I can count. But I haven't had any problems without the miniSD card. Nothing on the card syncs, but I have installed programs on the card and stored email attachments on it, so there could easily be some sort of check routine that verify the card's presence after a soft reset or perhaps even periodically.
