Does anyone know if the new ROM is a beta/RC or the final print?

My question centers around whether to wait for an official release
under the assumption that sprint might continue to fix problems being encountered in this 'quiet' release (such as the EVDO session persistance)

Well, Sprint doesn't program, they can only sign off, if it is supported.

Use this link, then select the Windows CE operating system. It should be the first download in the list.
