Does 6700 use Pocket Outlook's contacts list for caller ID and the phone book??

As someone who has been using a separate PDA (Dell X5) and phone, I was interested in Verizon's XV6700.
Does it use the Pocket Outlook's contacts list for caller ID and the phone book, or does it have another phone book which is independent of Outlook? Thanks for any info, and looking foward to browsing this site.

You can Sync you contacts with Outlook on the 6700.

right, this i figured, it is just like my PDA...but what isn't clear looking at the 6700 manual is that the phone's phone book is the very same Outlook contacts, or is it another application that stores numbers (like on a non smart phone).
What I would like is that if someone calls who is in my Outlook contacts, I can get a caller ID, or that if I want to make a call, I can select a number in Outlook and call it.

Mincer, it works as you describe for Outlook.

Only difference is (as you now know I guess) now you have WM 5 which slightly complicates things compared to earlier PDA OS.
