.net framework 2.0 for WM5 - installation error code 4
I can't see to get this one to install. It keeps on erroring with an error code 4. Has anyone gotten this to work and if so can you put up a link? All the links i've read so far is for windows .net framework 2.0 CF for windows mobile 2003.
Thanks,
Sid

I have run into this problem also, but haven't had the time to try and work it out yet.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if anything comes of it.

Maybe its a hardware issue. Try doing a full backup of your PPC, then do a hard reset. If the framework install still doesn't work, your device is bad. If it works, then start reloading your programs. If it's not worth having to reload all your apps. then just restore you backup.

I got it to work for me now!!
I had the Ext_ROM unhidden and when I hid the Ext_ROM partition, I was able to install the .net framework with no problems.
I have since unhidden the Ext_ROM again & all is well.

I had this issue until I turned off all the today screen plugins such as SPB Pocket Plus. After I installed .net I turned them back on. No issues.

I used the "No Plugins Today" program turning off all the Today screen plugins, hid the Extended ROM and .NET installed perfectly with no error code. Didn't have to hardreset.

After shutting off all my today plugins, I still got error #4. Renaming my startup folder seemed to fix the issue. Thanks sidwin.
